Exercise can be proved immensely beneficial for diabetic people. A healthy diet must accompany with exercise. Stress control is equally necessary in diabetes for which yoga can help you a lot. Yoga is also a form of regular exercise, and one can try it at home. Weight control is a necessity in diabetes, and physical exercise will help to curb the extra weight. It will make the bone stronger and lowered the blood pressure level. It is especially effective for people with type 2 diabetes, as exercise will increase the body’s response to insulin and will control the blood-glucose level.

A lifestyle change is necessary, for that one must cut down the habits of excessive drinking and smoking. Smoking is one of the contributing factors in diabetes. As diabetes patients take it longer to heal any wounds, he must take proper care of his feet. Do not ignore any small cuts or burns, skin redness, swelling in your feet. Take immediate medications for that. Moreover, diabetes can slowly affect the retina of the eyes which may cause permanent blindness. Diabetic people should get their eyes examined from time to time.

Type 1 diabetes can be managed with the help of injecting insulin in the body at regular intervals. Apart from that, they can adopt the same healthy practices of the type 2 diabetes patients.
